What is the Israeli Center for the Advancement of Social Justice?
The Israeli Center for the Advancement of Social Justice is an association of volunteers that serves as a lobby for the advancement and cultivation of a just, unified and qualitative society. Amongst the founders and members of the association, which is a non-partisan organization, are senior professionals of the social-economic work field, and the academic field. Why was the Israeli Center for the Advancement of Social Justice established? The Center was founded by a group of citizens concerned with the increase of social-economic inequality in Israel. Its members perceive inequality as harming social solidarity and the ability of low-income groups to break out of their situation. We believe that it is necessary to act towards social-economic change in alternative ways than those chosen by existing social organizations. The Center’s members believe: The distinctiveness of the Center for the Advancement of Social Justice is in the activity that is directed at advancing the awareness and realization of the above social conception. |
